Emergency Lighting

Emergency lighting must be part of a wider safety policy. It need not be expensive to become a deterrent factor for intruders. If given sufficient time, a determined or ingenious intruder can overcome any measure of security or alarm.Nevertheless, effective lighting can substantially reduce the available time of a possible intruder making them vulnerable in their attempt to break into your business or home. Well-placed lighting can provide safety by:

1. Deterrence of the intruder by creating a sense of insecurity and fear.
2. Giving the sense of a very well-thought security system.
3. In cases of emergency (blackout, earthquake, fire), it can lead us safely to the nearest exit

Basically, the lighting must be different according to each case, and that is what differentiates the professional installer from the amateur. Some lights are suitable for continuous lighting, while others are ideal to combine with infrared sensors. Furthermore, there must be proper and sufficient lighting for the proper operation of the CCTV systems, in order to be efficient, 24/7/365. The lights must also activate motion sensors. Studies have shown that a lower level of continuous lighting is a more preventive factor than a sudden bright light!! A good compromise is the lighting triggered by a photocell. This type of lighting provides plenty of light with few shadows and only costs a few euros per year!
